What is causing the lady to fall? What is the effect ?
These are two questions you may or may not be able to answer just yet.
When reading, the author may present situations that occurred as a result of a cause and effect relationship.
The cause is described as why something happens, while the effect is what happens as a result. The cause of the women falling is a banana peel on the ground. The effect is she is falling and may even get hurt.
There are many keywords that may give away a cause and effect situation such as 'if, then, because, when, and etc'
