Reading fluently means being able to read phrases and sentences smoothly and quickly. When you read fluently it helps you remember and understand stories and texts easier.

Fluent Readers:
- Pay close attention to accuracy. When you read accurately you do not skip words or add words to where they don't below.
- Read with expression
- Read smoothly with careful attention to punctuation. Readers look for commas, dialogues, emotion, both or italicized words.
- Read with pace. Do not read to slow or fast.
- Comprehend what is being read. The reader is always checking for understanding.

Once you have finished practicing, choose your favorite poem and record yourself! After your recording has completed, listen to yourself and determine how you read. Remember, it is ok to record more than one video!
